Welcome to the United Methodist Women

The May 12th meeting of the UMW was held in the Fellowship Hall with eight women in attendance and our shepherdess Margaret Mackey giving the lesson on “Myths about Immigrants” and how the United Methodist Church is involved. Arlene Lynes led us in devotions. Up-dates were given on the chicken supper on May 21st, a date of July 14th is set for sewing school kits and the spring bake sale totaled $225. Other options were discussed for holding the next bake sale. Hostesses were Wanda Hisel and Carol Dee.

  • June 6: UMW Luncheon, 11:30 am Scheman Building, Iowa State Center Ames, Iowa Speaker: Ollie Pleggenkuhle, Women’s Division Director
  • June 9: UMW Meeting, Lansing Fellowship Hall, 1:30 pm Carol Dee – Devotions Jean Gruber & Carol Dee – Hostesses
  • July 9: Bingo at MaKee Manor, 1:30 pm Bring cookies and bars.
